What size dog grooming straight cut is more efficient-7, 7,5, or 8 inches?

I groom all sizes of dogs. that the size of cut is the best preparation

I personally I have 2 8 inch scissors – a curve and a fastball. and 2 5 1 / 2 inch scissors. My preference is 8 inch, but for some things on the smallest dogs to the smallest are easier and safer.
