What if marriage license is not mailed in to register after the ceremony at groom’s request?
Friends got married by friend who is pastor, the bride hid debts and lied. The groom asks that the license not be mailed so that marriage is not “legal” and both the bride and groom can go their separate ways with out divorcing. This is within 10 days of ceremony. What are the legal ramifications to the minister?
Consummation or not, how is it recognized as legal if it is not registered….license expires 60 days after being issued if not registered
if they consummated the marriage they have to get a divorce. if they didn’t they can get it annulled. but either way just not mailing the license won’t make them not married
